Situation: The Untranslated Challenge
The $2.8 trillion media and entertainment market runs on a foundation of incredibly complex contracts. Yet, the technology used to manage critical rights and royalties was fragmented, outdated, and inadequate. Studios relied on large, expensive teams to manually analyze legal documents and track residuals—a slow, costly process prone to human error.
There was a powerful AI solution in concept, but it was just that: an abstract idea. It lacked a name, a brand, a face, and a clear story. It was a brilliant signal lost in the noise of a complex industry.
Task: My Mission as the Translator
As the Lead Creative Consultant for Method 360, I was brought on board in June 2024 with a clear mission: to translate this powerful-but-abstract AI concept into a tangible, credible, and investable brand and product.
My objective was to build the brand from the ground up—from naming and concept development to brand identity and preliminary product wireframes. The ultimate goal was to create a compelling package that could successfully secure a $9.7M seed investment and establish the company as a credible leader in entertainment technology.

Action: My Holistic Process in Motion
My process was focused on bridging the gap between the technical power of the AI and the real-world needs of its users.
Uncovering the Core Story: I began by diving deep into the pain points of the industry, interviewing legal and financial professionals at studios to understand their frustrations. This research uncovered a core human need: a desire for clarity and trust in a process defined by complexity. This insight became the foundation for the entire brand.
Strategy & Naming: The name "Fractil" was born from deep conceptual research. Inspired by the work of Roger Penrose and his discovery of non-repeating, infinitely continuing patterns (Penrose tiling), the name connects this idea of endless complexity to the world of entertainment contracts. "Fractil" is a portmanteau of "Fractal" and "Fractional," representing the infinite detail within contracts and the fractional residuals the product tracks. I then developed the core brand identity—from the logo to the color palette—to reflect this blend of mathematical elegance and modern technology, creating a feeling of innovation and trustworthiness.
Execution & Translating Logic into Experience: With the brand established, I translated the complex logic of the AI into a series of intuitive wireframes for a product demo. The goal was to visually demonstrate how the platform could transform hours of manual contract analysis into a few simple clicks. The user flow was designed to be clean, simple, and confidence-inspiring.
Collaboration & Bridging Gaps: This was a deeply collaborative effort. I worked as the central creative hub within a diverse 12-person team that included AI engineers, product managers, entertainment lawyers, project managers, and researchers. Throughout the process, I facilitated workshops and worked in lockstep with all disciplines to ensure my creative vision was not only aligned with the AI's capabilities but also amplified its core strengths, ensuring the final product demo was both ambitious and technically feasible.

My work in establishing the brand and creating a clear product vision was instrumental in the seed funding round.
The Pitch: The brand identity and wireframes became the centerpiece of the pitch deck, successfully translating the company's complex vision into a story that investors could understand and believe in.
The Investment: The compelling brand narrative and clear product demonstration were key factors in successfully securing the $9.7M seed investment.
What I learned: This project reinforced my belief that the most powerful technology is useless if it can't be translated into a human story. My greatest learning was in finding the perfect balance between communicating cutting-edge innovation and building fundamental brand trust.
