Case Study: Method 360

Translating an Established Company's Vision for the AI Era

Situation: The Untranslated Challenge
Following the success of the development for the Fractil project, Method 360 was at a pivotal moment. The company had successfully evolved its services to become a cutting-edge data and AI consultancy, but its external brand identity had not kept pace. There was a disconnect between their internal innovation and their public perception, which risked them being overlooked in the competitive AI landscape. Their powerful new vision was untranslated to the market.

The Task: My Mission as the Translator
Having proven my ability to build a brand from scratch (Fractil), I was invited to stay on with Method 360 to lead their corporate rebranding effort.

My mission was to work directly with the CEO and SVP to translate the company's new strategic vision into a cohesive, modern, and powerful brand identity. Over a three-month period, the objective was to execute a complete visual and strategic overhaul, culminating in a company-wide brand launch at the beginning of 2025.

Action: My Holistic Process in Motion
This project required a deep partnership with senior leadership to ensure the new brand was a true reflection of the company's soul.

• Discovery & Uncovering the Core Story: I initiated the project with a series of deep-dive sessions with the CEO and SVP, translating their strategic goals, market ambitions, and company culture into a core creative brief. I conducted a thorough audit of their existing brand, website (method360.com), and market position to identify the key gaps between where they were and where they wanted to be.

• Strategy & Execution: I developed six distinct logo and color palette concepts, each designed to evoke a different facet of the company's new identity. The final direction, chosen directly by the CEO and SVP, featured a sophisticated palette that included a bold salmon color. While this choice was initially controversial among some employees, the leadership's conviction demonstrated a strong commitment to a fresh, modern identity that would stand out. This new visual system became the foundation for a complete overhaul of all brand touchpoints, including the corporate website, signage, and a comprehensive style guide that provided clear direction for everything from presentation slides to merchandise.

• Collaboration & Bridging Gaps: My role was to act as the bridge between the executive vision and its creative execution. By presenting a clear, strategic design process, I ensured the CEO and SVP were active partners in the evolution of their brand, leading to strong internal buy-in long before the public launch.

"Tim has a way of getting to the essence and soul of what is trying to be communicated and then visually representing it. He was able to design a brand that gives honor to our past while acknowledging our future. He made sense of jumbled thoughts and nailed it!"

The Result: A Successful Translation

The rebranding effort culminated in a successful and seamless launch at the end of 2024, powerfully repositioning Method360 in the marketplace.

• The Launch: The new brand identity was rolled out across all corporate channels, creating a unified and modern presence that immediately signaled the company's focus on AI and data.

• The Impact: The comprehensive style guide empowered employees to become brand ambassadors, creating a consistent and professional experience for clients and partners at every touchpoint. The new brand has been pivotal in attracting new talent and engaging with higher-value clients in the AI space.

What I learned? This project taught me the unique challenge and reward of evolving an established brand. It reinforced the importance of translating executive vision into a creative strategy that the entire organization can understand, embrace, and execute with pride.
